How Long Does An Orca Live?
Life/Life Cycle
Orcas give birth roughly every 5-8 years. They usually go through an 18 month pregnancy. Baby orcas are born with yellow or orange on the spots that are usually white on adults. The yellow and orange fade to white as the baby matures. Orcas migrate through oceans according to fish activity. In the Atlantic ocean, they usually migrate in accordance to mackerel and herring, but in the Pacific ocean orcas move with Salmon. Orcas have been proved very smart. They are third on the EQ list, just after humans and the Bottlenose dolphin. Orcas live up to 100 years old in the wild. Although they live long in the wild, they live much shorter in captivity. They only live up to 26 years. This proves the life cycle and age of an orca actually depend on its will. Wonderful Words
